Pericarditis ek inflammatory condition hai jisme heart ko cover karne wali thin sac (pericardium) me sujan aa jaati hai. Is inflammation ki wajah se sharp chest pain hota hai jo aksar deep breathing, coughing, ya lying down par badh jata hai aur baithne ya aage jhukne par kam ho sakta hai. Pericarditis acute ya chronic ho sakti hai. Timely diagnosis aur treatment se zyadatar cases me full recovery ho jaati hai.

Causes and Clinical Features of Pericarditis

Pericarditis ka common cause viral infection hota hai, lekin bacterial infections, autoimmune diseases, myocardial infarction ke baad (post-MI), kidney failure, trauma, aur certain medications bhi responsible ho sakte hain. Symptoms me sharp chest pain, fever, shortness of breath, aur palpitations shamil hote hain. Kuch cases me pericardial effusion (heart ke around fluid collection) develop ho sakta hai, jo severe ho to cardiac tamponade ka risk badha sakta hai.
